"You like 'to-may-to' and I like
to-mah-to'... let's call the
whole thing off!"
At least the client didn't call off
this shoot, which resulted in
some great images.

A lovely image which is made
by the the swirl. Or is it a
spiral? A helix perhaps? Get
the answer wrong and you'll
really be in the soup.

Imagine this being served in a
top-class restaurant. Suddenly,
rising above the comforting
background murmur of
conversation, a plaintive voice
is heard, "May I have a fork
please?"

One of those really tasty
images that clients hunger for
(I haven't seen a sandwich that
thick since I made myself a
ham sanger and forgot to take
the meat out of the packet).

The word 'lasagne' is of Italian
origin, based on the Latin word
'lasanum' meaning 'chamber
pot' or 'cooking pot' - perhaps
I'll just look at the one
perfectly photographed here
with tom-ah-toes and not
worry about that today.

Another question - what's the
difference between currants,
raisins, and sultanas (beside
the fact that we can do them
all equal justice in the studio)?
Saying they are spelled
differently does not count...

Looking at nice food images
always puts me in a good
mood. Hear the one about the
customer who complained that
not only was his food awful,
but the portion was very small
as well?

The food stylist did such a
wonderful job with this dish
that it's such a shame to eat it.
Oops, I mean break down the
set. Er... what's that behind
you?

When bagels first evolved, did
they ever have dreams of
being filled with eggs, rashers
and tom-ah-to? Their great-
great-grandbagels would be
very proud to see photos like
this.
